Route terrain profile
Terrain uses 10 m USGS elevation where available and 90 m Open-Meteo elevation elsewhere. Longer routes use wider sample spacing. Small features and obstacles may be missed.
Add two or more points to compare the route with your logged flights.
Historical flight terrain profiles were sampled from Open-Meteo 90 m data. Flights are ranked by terrain shape and elevation, then median glide similarity. Without a historical profile, recorded exit elevation is used first. These estimates do not confirm that a route is achievable or safe.
